Gordon F. Gibbs Gordon F. (Gordo) Gibbs, 49, of Mercersburg, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born December 10, 1963 in Montpelier, Vt. to Howard and Rebecca (Richardson) Gibbs, Sr. He was married to Vicki Forbes Gibbs on October 5, 2002. Gordon was an electronic technician with Northrop Grumman in Sykesville, Md. He was a member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church. His greatest love was being Poppy to his grandchildren, spending time with them fishing, going to the beach and just being their grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Vicki L. Forbes Gibbs and their three children: Jennifer L. (wife of Michael) Foster of Hagerstown, Md., Jamie L. (wife of David) Kolsun of Chambersburg and Judson A. (husband of Teta) Hartman of St. Thomas. He has six grandchildren: Joshua, Braden, Madison, Ethan, Olivia and baby Gus. He has one sister, Bonny Gibbs of Waterbury, Vt.; and three brothers: Howard Gibbs, Jr. of Waterbury, Andrew Gibbs of Wolcutt, and Barry Gibbs of Waterbury. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Ward. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Rev. Steven Portner officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be held at Lincoln Cemetery.
