Janet L. Wenger, age 88, formerly of 2434 Philadelphia Ave., passed away January 25, 2013 at Falling Spring Nursing Home. She was born January 29, 1924 in Pleasant Hall, PA to Warren and Susan V. (Sandoe) Zullinger. She was married to Raymond K. Wenger Sr. on March 24, 1942. Janet was employed by the former Stanley Company. She was a member of the Orrstown United Brethren in Christ Church. Will be dearly missed by her surviving children: Lester (fiance Emajean) Wenger, Chambersburg, Raymond (husband of Louise) Wenger Jr., Greencastle, Kaye (wife of Gary) Payne, Chambersburg, eight grandchildren: Yvonne Wadel, Leslie Armer, Jeremy and Jared Wenger, Lorene Byers, Louann Lehman, Jennifer Ashley, and Corey Norcross, step-granddaughter Jessica (Payne) Horst, sixteen great-grandchildren, three sisters: Mary Newcomer, Bertha Snyder, and Grace Reed, and a brother Raymond Zullinger. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters: Mabel and Ruth Gayman, Dorothy Brechbill, and Mildred Zullinger, five brothers: William, Paul, Warren, Roy and Orville Zullinger and a daughter-in-law Virginia Eckenrode Wenger. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home. There will be a viewing from 10 to 12 Tuesday Janat Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Orrstown UB Church, 3689 Orrstown Road, Orrstown, PA 17244. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.
