Mary L. Schooley, 84, of McConnellsburg, passed away January 23, 2013 at her house with her family by her side. She was born May 11, 1928 in Roxbury, the daughter of the late Rankin and Mary (Mackey) Hamilton. Mary was employed as an assembler for Corning Glass in Greencastle, for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member and very active in the Evangel Assembly of God Church in McConnellsburg, where she was Sunday School Teacher and greeter for many years. Mary is survived by five children, Barry (husband of Carol)Hamilton of Chambersburg, Sharon (wife of Kenny) Doyle of McConnellsburg, Gary Schooley of Mercersburg, Mary Jane Hershey of Greencastle, PA and Robin (wife Of Ron) Barnhart of McConnellsburg; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mable Baer of Shippensburg, and Mildred Garcia of Altadena, Calif., and one brother Gerald Hamilton of Chambersburg. She is preceded in death by her parents Rankin and Mary Jane Hamilton, her companion of 50 years Donald Martin, six brothers, four sisters, two granddaughters and one grandson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Evangel Assembly of God Church in McConnellsburg. Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at Evangel Assembly of God Church from 5-8. Interment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. William McCummons officiating.
