Paul E. Negley, age 84, of Chambersburg, PA went to be with his Lord, April 21, 2012. He was born May 15, 1927 in Lemasters, Franklin County, PA. He was the son of the late Clarence and Rhoda (Grabill) Negley. He graduated from Lemasters High School. He owned and operated a dairy farm for 22 years, after which he managed the Waynesboro Agway and later joined the sales force with Nibble with Gibble's Inc. until retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Upton Church of the Brethren where he served as deacon for 47 years. He also served as a trustee, Sunday School superintendent, and teacher through his adult life. In addition, he prepared the first architectural plans for the new church building in 1975, and was the building treasurer. He served as President of Chambersburg Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International for five years and 25 years with Lay Renewal Ministries. In addition, he chaired the annual Church of the Brethren National Holy Spirit Conference for 11 years. His fulfillment in life was to follow the Lord Jesus, bless others, and encourage and inspire his family. In addition to his wife Betty Jane Forsythe Negley, whom he married March 5, 1949 in Greencastle, PA, he is survived by three children: a son Shannon (husband of Marian) Negley of Auburn, Maine, two daughters Rosanna (wife of Isaac) Burkholder of Chambersburg, PA, Katrina (wife of Willaim Reighard) Negley of Spotsylvania, VA, five grandsons, 12 great grandchildren, and four sisters: Naomi Hunsberger of St. Thomas, Rhoda Gayman, Ruth Haldeman, and Bertha Kenepp all of Menno Haven. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Burkholder; three brothers: David, John, Clarence Jr., and two sisters: Elizabeth Negley and Dorcas Sharar. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Upton Church of the Brethren. The family will welcome friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Upton Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The Rev. Leon Meyers and Rev. Vernon Isner will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Upton Church of the Brethren Cemetery Board in care of Harry Negley, 10616 Etter Avenue, Mercersburg, PA 17236. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
