Ruth M. Ebersole Ruth M. Ebersole, 89, a resident of Hagerstown Mennonite Fellowship Home, formerly of Kline Road, Shippensburg, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in the home. She was born December 4, 1924, in Hagerstown, Md. Ruth was a daughter of the late Martin and Christianna Martin Horst. She was a member of the Culbertson Mennonite Church, Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Ebersole, who died August 27, 2004; a daughter, Janet L. Ebersole; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Paul Horst; and two sisters, Fannie Horst and Cora Martin are also deceased. Ruth is survived by five sons, Marlin E. Ebersole (Doris) of Chambersburg, J. Lester Ebersole (Shirley) of Myerstown, Nathan K. Ebersole (Julia) of Shippensburg, Wilmer L. Ebersole (Margaret) of Bellingham, Mass., and Keith D. Ebersole (Karen) of Ewing, Ill.; three daughters, Esther Mae Wadel (Daniel) of Chambersburg, Ellen M. Wadel (James) of Plainview, Texas, and Naomi K. Hertzler (James) of Shirleysburg; 48 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Culbertson Mennonite Church, Chambersburg. Officiating will be Bro. H. Lynn Martin, Bro. Melvin Burkholder, Bro. LaRay Martin, and Bro. Loren Martin. Burial will be in Diller Mennonite Church Cemetery, Newville. A viewing will be held Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. in the Culbertson Mennonite Church.
