Dale L. Davidson, 48, of Redwood Drive, Carlisle, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, in Holy Spirit Hospital.

Born July 6, 1962 in Carlisle, he was a son of Donald H. and Vesta M. Franklin Davidson of Shippensburg.

Dale was a 1980 graduate of Shippensburg High School and a 1983 graduate of the Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. He retired in March of 2007 as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst at the Shippensburg University and was a former employee at IBM in Mechanicsburg. Dale was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, loved caring for his property especially his lawn and was an avid sports fan.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters; Lauren M. Lamper and her husband Stephen of Bethlehem and Jaclyn R. Davidson of Wormleysburg, one brother; Deamer D. Davidson, two sisters; Debra K. Booz and Donna R. Friese all of Shippensburg and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale also leaves behind his three beloved dogs; Nooner, Eclipse and Coal.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Otterbein United Methodist Church, located at 15634 Paxton Run Road, Newburg, PA 17240 with the Rev. Harold E. Yeager officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday in the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Franklin & Fulton Unit 384 Floral Ave. Chambersburg, PA 17201
