Melissa R. Landis Melissa R. Landis, 46, of Chambersburg, passed away March 24, 2014, at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born July 3, 1967, in Chambersburg to Patricia Guyer. She was married to Quentin Landis on April 11, 2005. She had worked in retail sales at K Mart and Rite Aid. She was a member of Chambersburg Baptist Church. She loved her cats, Fraser and Niles. She was an avid gardener, enjoying her flowers. She enjoyed taking long rides in the mountains, going to the beach, and collecting Tweety Bird items. Melissa is survived by her husband, Quentin E. Landis; her mother, Patricia Guyer Curnutte of Fayetteville; her brother, Randall H. (husband of Sandra) Guyer of Fayetteville; two nieces, Amanda and Megan Guyer. She also has three step-children, Joshua Landis of Scotland, Pa., Danielle Kelly of Fayetteville and Kacie Diahl of Newburg. She was preceded in death by a previous husband, Kevin Erler; and her step-father, Robert D. Curnutte. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at Chambersburg Baptist Church, 588 S. Second St., with Dr. Kenny Craig officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to The Chambersburg Baptist Church, 588 S. Second St., Chambersburg, PA. 17201 in Melissa's name to help with the cost of the services. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, will be handling the arrangements.
