Sharon L. Hager Mrs. Sharon L. (Gratton) Hager, 64, of 10156 Jacob Mack West, Waynesboro, died Wednesday evening, April 9, 2014 in Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD. Born February 21, 1950 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late James P. Gratton, Sr. and Edna M. (Smith) Gratton Martin. She was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro. Mrs. Hager graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1968. She later graduated from the L.P.N program at Franklin County Vo-Tech in 1977. She and her husband of over 39 years, Donald K. Hager, Jr., were married on August 30, 1974 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Waynesboro. They moved to their present residence in 2002. Mrs. Hager worked as an L.P.N. at the Waynesboro Hospital, retiring after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, watching tv, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and especially time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. Johns and her husband, Robert Johns, Jr. of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Robert Johns, III, Michael Johns, Heather Johns, and Jonathon Johns; one sister, Nancy Baker and her husband, Terry of South Mountain; two brothers, James Gratton, Jr. and his wife, Delores of Greencastle and Bernard Gratton and his wife, Carol of Chambersburg; her step-father, Harold A. Martin of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 14, 2014 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. John B. Bateman officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
