Glen S. Sollenberger Glen S. Sollenberger, 91, of St. Thomas, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, in his home. Born July 13, 1922, in Letterkenny Township, Franklin County, he was the son of the late David N. and Barbara (Sollenberger) Sollenberger. He married Catharine M. (Byers) Sollenberger on November 4, 1943. Glen was a self-employed dairy farmer for 38 years and had worked at Sunnyway Foods, Chambersburg, for nearly 15 years. He was a member of the Upton Church of the Brethren. Surviving family, in addition to his wife of 70 years are, one daughter, Joyce Paylor and husband Alan of Chambersburg; two sons, Dennis Sollenberger and wife Doris of Mercersburg, Dean Sollenberger and wife Beckie of St. Thomas; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Buckwalter of Fredericksburg, Gladys Stickley of Stouffville, Ontario, Canada; and one brother, Clyde Sollenberger and wife Dorothy Jean of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jerry Sollenberger; and one great-granddaughter, Annie Shaffer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. from the Upton Church of the Brethren, 8490 Warm Spring Road, Upton, PA, with ministers Garnet Myers, Duane Hawbaker and Wayne Hawbaker officiating. Burial will be in the Meyers Cemetery near Welsh Run. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at the church one hour before the service on Friday.
