Heidi M. Galinsky Heidi M. Galinsky, 70, of 224 Woodvale Drive, Chambersburg, PA, died April 29th at her home. Born October 31, 1943, in Hermeskeil, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Gerhard and Hildegard Winter of Germany. She and her husband of over 30 years, Frank Galinsky, were married on Nov. 26, 1981 in a castle in Ziest, the Netherlands. They moved to their present residence in 2009. Heidi was a homemaker most of her life. She also worked as the Head Cashier at military clubs and military exchange services in Germany and Holland. She was a caring woman who enjoyed family and enjoyed her grandchildren and friends, watching TV, and her loving dog, Abby. She attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Harro Barrante of Urbana, IL, daughter, Peggy Reid (wife of David) of Chambersburg, PA, three grandchildren, Ryan Poskitt of New Bern, NC, Matt and Nick Reid of Chambersburg, PA, two stepchildren, Charleen Whitford (wife of Darrell) of Columbus, MS, Bobby Galinsky of Houma, LA, four step-grandchildren, Kolby Andrews of Columbus, MS, Leanne Leuschen (wife of Sean) of Warner Robins, GA, Allison and Robert Galinsky of Houma, LA, and step great-grandchild, Ava Leuschen. Heidi was preceded in death by her son Jorg Muchen and stepson Frank Galinsky, Jr. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. May 3, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA, with Pastor Rick Noll officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, Inc., 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements are being handled by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Chambersburg, PA.
