Retha Killinger Retha Killinger, 80, of Chambersburg, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014, at her home. Born February 5, 1934, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Mowen Foust. Her beloved husband, Earl M. Killinger, preceded her in death in 1978. Retha worked as a seamstress at Stanley Co. for over 25 years, then worked at the Salvation Army for seven years until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending festivals, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Retha was a lifetime member of the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Freet; her son, Jerry E. Killinger and wife Tracey; two grandsons, Cory and Josh Freet, all of Chambersburg; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Leroy Burkholder and wife Jean of Reading. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, John E. Killinger in 1987. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg. The family requests that any flowers or memorial contributions be sent to 174 S. 4th St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
