Barry L. Keller Obituary
Barry L. Keller Barry L. Keller, 64, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA after a brief illness. Born March 4, 1950, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Lee Floyd and Effie Mae (Zeger) Keller. He grew up in the Greencastle area, graduating from Greencastle High School with the Class of 1968. After high school, he worked for a short time at Strait Manufacturing and then went to Mack Truck of Hagerstown, MD where he was trained as a machinist and continued to work for 44 years, retiring July, 2012. He married Jacqualine J. (Wright) Keller in August of 1981 in Chambersburg, PA. They have resided at their current residence ever since. Mr. Keller was a member of Greencastle, VFW Post #6319, Amvets Post #224 of Chambersburg, Landis McLeaf Marine Corps League, Chambersburg, the Moose Lodge #842, Chambersburg, and the Greencastle Rescue Hose Company. He was a gentle, loving, and outgoing man. He enjoyed hunting and bowled on a league in his earlier years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: a son, Dennis L. Wright and his wife, Tammy of St. Thomas, PA, a daughter, Chrystal D. Gabler and her husband, Glenn of Chambersburg; three grandchildren: Brenton Wright, Stephanie Wright and Devin Smith; a great-grandson, Owen Brewer; six siblings: Harold Keller, and his wife, Connie, Greencastle, William Keller and his wife, Rella, Greencastle, Robert Keller and his wife, Karol, Greencastle, Samuel Keller, Greencastle, Sonja Brandenburg and her husband, Arthur, Foxville, MD and Jane (Keller) Kemp, Chambersburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy Thomas, who passed away in 2007, and a set of twin brothers who died at birth. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 25, 2014 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle, PA, with the Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, July 24, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
