Mrs. Beulah M. "Boots" (DeShong) Clever, 90, a resident of Heritage Hills Retirement Community, and formerly of 157 East Madison St., both of Greencastle, PA, entered into eternal rest at 7:15 A.M., Sunday, December 26, 2010, in Quincy Village where she was a 24-hour guest.

Born July 2, 1920 in Fulton County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Arishia E. (Everts) DeShong. She lived her early life in the McConnellsburg, PA area.
Mrs. Clever attended Green Hill School in Fulton County.
She and her husband, the late Earl J. Clever, were married on February 3, 1940 in Hagerstown, MD. They moved to East Madison Street in October 1945. Mr. Clever died on August 1, 2003. Mrs. Clever entered the nursing home on July 6, 2006.
Mrs. Clever was a member of Lutheran Gospel Mission Church, Greencastle.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, Tiny Weir, Mary Johnson, Enza Tice, Lena McClain, Olive Shives, Ruth Hess, Minnie Youse; and Nellie R. Shotts; and two brothers, George DeShong and Harry DeShong.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle, with Rev. Brian Triller officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
