Derrick "Leroy" Brown, age 72, of Chambersburg, passed away May 2, 2011 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born August 11, 1938 in Portland, Jamaica. He enjoyed fishing and was known in the Chambersburg area for his ""jerk chicken and red beans and rice"". He migrated to the Chambersburg area in the early 60's when he worked as a migrant worker in the local orchards.

He is survived by his daughter, Paula R. Lewis of Chambersburg, his significant other, Linda Eves of Chambersburg and a number of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Greater Good News Church of God in Christ with Pastor Edgar Scott officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
