McFadden Beulah Heinbaugh McFadden, 91, of Chambersburg died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday December 16, 2012 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 12, 1921, at home in Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late David W. and Mary E. Bain Heinbaugh. Beulah retired in 1977 after 25 years of service at Letterkenny Army Depot. Following her retirement, from 1979 to 2003 she spent her winter months in Sebring, Florida. She was an avid golfer, also enjoyed coin collecting, playing bridge, bus trips and genealogy. For several years she researched her family genealogy and published 2 Heinbaugh Family Tree books of her ancestral lineage. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Chambersburg, NARFE Chapter 1063, F & M Trust CO Go-Club, a former member of Rocky Spring Golf Club, Chambersburg, and River Green Country Club, Avon Park, Florida. She married Calvin J. McFadden on November 6, 1940. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2007. Surviving are her son, Larry W. and his wife Joan McFadden of Waynesboro. Three grandchildren, Carla McFadden and husband David King of Hershey, Charles McFadden of Bel Air, Md., and Cheryl McFadden DeWald of Waynesboro, and six great grandchildren. 10 nieces and 16 nephews also survive. The last of her immediate family, Beulah was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday December 20, 2012 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Reverend Rick Noll officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg. Viewing 1 hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
