Anna Elizabeth Fagan Bishop of Rehoboth Beach, Del., died Dec. 27, 2012, at Brandywine Assisted Living. She was born Sept. 12, 1927, in Staten Island, N.Y., daughter of the late Alberta Gabriel and Joseph Fagan. Anna also resided in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and had recently relocated from Waynesboro. She graduated from Ralph R. McKee Career & Technical High School in Staten Island, serving as editor of the school newspaper. She was married to the late Melvin Melford Bishop. Surviving are her children, John Michael Bishop of College Park, Md., Sondra Ann (Bishop) Edwards of Peachtree City, Ga. and David Jason Bishop of Woodbine, Md.; six grandchildren, Sara Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, Mark Edwards, Darcy Bishop, Ryan Bishop and Daniel Bishop; her beloved dachshund, Gretchen; two nieces and her brother-in-law Kent Bishop. After retiring as the secretary of the public works division of Long Branch, N.J., she enjoyed golfing and traveling. She enjoyed watching President Bill Clinton drive from the tee behind her home at the Penn National Golf Course. She ranked among the top one percent of loving grandmothers and was adored by her children and grandchildren. Anna was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Joe Stickell Post 15 American Legion Auxiliary and Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1191 Women of the Moose.
