Mary F. Failor, age 87, formerly of Devon, PA and Lemasters, passed away June 23, 2013 at Penn Hall Nursing Center in Chambersburg, PA. She was born June 26, 1925 at Ft. Loudon, PA to Robert S. and M. Marie (Clepper) Failor. She was a graduate of the former Lemasters High School, class of 1943, and Pennsylvania State College (University) in 1948. For many years, Mary was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Gulph Mills, PA. She was employed for many years with Allstate Insurance Company in Valley Forge, PA, retiring as assistant human resources manager. Prior to her Allstate employment, she worked for the P&LE Railroad in Pittsburgh and also taught in Ebensburg High School. Mary is survived by two sisters: Ruth A. (wife of Harold) Bard of Chambersburg and Janet F. Porter of Lemasters and two brothers: William R. Failor of Frederick, MD and James C. Failor of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Robert L. Failor, Susan Bard Weller, H. Mark Bard, Steven D. Failor, Pamela K. Porter, James P. Porter and David A. Failor. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, July 5, 2013 in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Harold P. Posey, of Mt. Holly Springs, officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Hall Benevolent Fund, 1425 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
