Albert J. Kendle, III Albert Joseph "Joe" Kendle, III, 53, of Hagerstown, Md., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Born on November 28, 1959, in Battle Creek, MI, Joe graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown, Md., in 1978. Joe then went on to make his career with New South Electric out of Troutman, N.C., where he was a master electrician for 19 years. Joe had a passion for rock & roll music, which led him to be the drummer in the band "The Shozz", which later became known as KIX. He also loved western and war movies, live bands, traveling and spending time with his family. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann Kendle and a son, Albert Joseph Kendle, IV. He is survived by his wife, Lena Michelle Kendle; father, Albert Kendle, Jr., of Hagerstown, Md.; daughter, Marie Lorene Kendle of Waynesboro; grandson, Elijah Zayne Kendle of Waynesboro; step-son, Johnathan C. Murray of Raleigh, N.C.; brother, Gerard T. Kendle of Hagerstown, Md.; sisters, Deborah L. Steenburg of Hagerstown, Md., and Mary K. Walling of Falling Waters, W.Va.; seven nieces, three nephews, two great-nieces and six great-nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md., with the Rev. George Limmer officiating. Interment will be in the rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, Md. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday October 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the University of Maryland Heart Center Fund and Heart & Lung Transplant Staff & Patient Education Fund at the University of Maryland Medical Center Foundation, 110 South Paca, Street, 9th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201.
