Cole Micek Obituary
July 18, 1993 - March 3, 2018
Cole Jonathan Micek passed away on March 3, 2018. He was born on July 18, 1993 in Torrance, CA. He was a 2012 graduate of the Port of Los Angeles High School and worked as an auto mechanic at his father's shop, San Pedro Chrysler Specialists in San Pedro and Championship Dodge, Chrysler in Downey, CA. He also obtained his certification in welding. Cole loved dirt bike riding, paintballing, hunting and baseball. He also loved going to the family property to hunt for quail. Cole is survived by his father and mother, Chris and Helen Micek, his brother Kyle, his grandmothers Sarah Micek and Margaret Rossney. His Aunts and Uncles, Jokay and Creighton Kearns of Portland, Oregon, Ken and Suzy Kargol of Shell Beach, CA, Brian Rossney and Martina Espinosa of San Pedro, CA, Jon and Kathleen Wells of Paso Robles, CA, Glenn and Melissa Rossney of Gardena, CA, his godparents, Neils and Terry Mastrup of Reno, Nevada and his cousins Alicia, David, Stephen, Monica, Andrew, Nathan and Julianna. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Micek and Earle Rossney and his aunt Chardelle Kargol. Cole was a loving and gentle soul who will be missed by all his friends and family. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 15, 2018, 5-7 pm at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. It's with the greatest sympathy that I pray for Cole's family as you go through this tremendous time of loss. As a friend of my daughter, He always came over to visit her and showed the most manners and respect anyone could expect from the fine gentleman that he grew up to be. May God comfort you all as you come to grips with your loss and as He welcomes Cole into his eternal resting place in the heavens above. My heart goes out to his family and all of those feeling the loss of such an awesome young man. My heart breaks as I type this with so much disbelief and heartache for the family who raised this young man with so much talent and potential, who had so much good to offer this world. May God welcome you with open arms into His kingdom of peace, love and all that's good.
