Alice Jeanette Remp, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in the comfort of her own home. Loved ones surrounded her. Alice was born on January 1,1929 in Bakersfield California to Bruce and Louise Stone.

Alice graduated from USC in 1950 with a degree in Education. Alice and Jack met during Easter break in Palm Springs. It was a quick romance and they were married in December 1950.

Alice and Jack raised their family in various locations from Bakersfield to LaCanada to Virginia and eventually landed in Palos Verdes. Alice taught kindergarten full time until they had children. She worked at home, raising their girls. Before returning to a full-time teaching position, she was part of the Palos Verdes Welcome Wagon. This was a perfect match for her! She was always very social, kind and engaging. When the youngest was in college, Alice embarked on a full-time kindergarten teaching position at Rolling Hills Country Day School.

Alice had many hobbies including needlepoint, sewing, gardening, decorating and entertaining. She was passionate about, history, geography and learning.

She remained very active with the Trojan league as well as the Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Alice loved a good party, loved her family and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren!

Alice and Jack were married for 65 years. Jack preceded her in death (October 2015). Alice leaves behind her three daughters, Karen Knutson, Nancy Gragg and Joan Richter. She has 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and counting!
