June 14, 1941 - Sept. 30, 2018Frank Anthony Lauro, passed away peacefully in his home on September 30, 2018 at the age of 77. He was born on June 14, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to Pete and Grace Lauro. He attended Leland Street, Seventh Street, Mary Star and graduated from San Pedro High School in Summer '60. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda, in 1963. Together they raised three sons. A resident of San Pedro for over 70 years, he was a true family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and traveling. He had an imaginative sense of humor and enjoyed telling his grandkids stories of his childhood and making them laugh. He was a hard worker, he started working at the family business at the tender age of 10 - A-1 Imports and retired as a longshoreman ILWU Local 13 after 35 years at 62 years old. Preceded in death, his parents (Pete & Grace Lauro), Sister (Carmela Irvine), Brother (Eugene). He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda, Sons, Frank Anthony Jr. (Carol), David (Stephanie), Stephen (Leslie). Grandchildren (Marc, Michael, Heather, Matthew, Aaron, Samantha, and Christopher). He leaves behind a large loving family, special friends and extended family. He will be missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 5, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
