Giuseppa (Peppina) PisanoJan. 1, 1931 - Sept. 29, 2018Giuseppa Pisano was reunited with her husband, daughter, parents and siblings on September 29, 2018. She was born on January 1, 1931 in Testaccio, Ischia, Italy and was the youngest of three children of Giorgio and Maria Luisa DiIorio. She was preceded in death by her husband John Pisano, her oldest daughter Susie, and her parents and siblings. She is survived by her 3 daughters Mary (John) Russo, Cathy (John) Bellotti, JoAnn (Frank) Frisina, and 2 sons, Chris (Teresa) Pisano and George (Diana) Pisano. Also keeping her memory alive are her 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and another on the way, her special cousin Delfina Iacono, and her three sisters-in-law Catherine (Reynaldo) Garay, Anna Pisano, and Doralinda Di Iorio. Giuseppa is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in San Pedro, Italy, and Argentina who love her very much. A mother, Nona, Zia, and friend to many, Giuseppa will be missed by everyone who knew her. Giuseppa immigrated to the United States in 1951. She was instrumental in organizing and keeping the tradition of her family's Saint George celebrations, the patron saint of Testaccio. She was also a member of the Italian Catholic Federation. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved attending all of her childrens' and grandchildrens' sports games and special events. She especially enjoyed family visits to Italy and their family home in Palm Desert. A beautiful woman who has graced this world with her kindness and love of family will never be forgotten. Her deep religious faith was an inspiration to us all. "La Madonna ti accompagna". A special thank you to Liza her caregiver during her illness. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, 5-7p.m. followed by a Vigil Service at 7pm at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. A funeral Mass will be offered Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to , stjude.org or Mary Star of the Sea High School or Holy Trinity School.
