James William Stamper

James (Jim) William Stamper of Bullhead City, Arizona lost his battle with cancer on February 21 2018. Jim was born on August 17, 1940 to Richard and Kathleen Stamper of Wilmington, California and was one of seven children. He worked as a Marine Clerk for the ILWU in Los Angeles Harbor for 46 years. He loved fishing, barbecuing, cooking, boating, playing cribbage, listening to jazz and blues and having a cigar with his buddies. He was always close to his immediate and large extended family and strongly valued his close friendships. He was also a member of the Elks lodge in Bullhead City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his sister.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Faye, sons Michael (Karie), Sean (Helen), Christopher (Julie), seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and his brothers Patrick (Carol), Edward (Karen), and David (Linda).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 3055 El Mirage Way, Laughlin, Nevada.
