JoAnn Brown We say good bye and celebrate our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, JoAnn Brown. JoAnn was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on September 27th, 1939, to Violet and Ruby Rice, and passed away peacefully on November 29, 2018. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James (Jim) Rice. She is survived by her children, Brett (Jennifer) Keller and daughter Katie Jo, Denise (Frank) Asaro and their sons Tony (Carleigh) Asaro and daughter Viviana, Marco Asaro, and Danielle (Kelley) Stark and their son Patrick. She is also survived by the special people in her life, to whom the family will be forever grateful, Jeannette Goodbary and Rick Hayes. JoAnn spent the first years of her life in Arkansas before moving to California where she grew up and attended Narbonne High School (1957). JoAnn developed wonderful lifelong friendships during her high school years, which she maintained throughout her life. JoAnn went on to build a long and successful career in the Electronics Industry, where she became a mentor and friend to many throughout her career. JoAnn's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with them, and you could always find her at a game or event. JoAnn was known for smile, infectious laugh and her incredible positive outlook on life. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many. We will be celebrating JoAnn's life on Sunday January 6th, 1-4pm, at King Harbor Yacht Club, 280 Yacht Club Way, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the or to .
