Luciano "Eugene" Lauro
1947 - 2011

Our beloved brother, uncle and treasured friend of many passed away peacefully on December 24, 2011 in Torrance, CA. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to California in 1950. Eugene spent the last 18 years residing at Independent Living Connection Home in Hawthorne. A special thank you to Richard and Lucy Rodriguez and staff for their loving care and attendtion to Eugene's well-being and happiness. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Grace Lauro and sister, Carmela Irvine. He is survived by his brother, Frank (Linda) Lauro; aunt, Lucy Moreno; uncle, Guy Lauro; nephews, Frank (Carol); David (Stephanie) and Steven (Leslie) Lauro; niece, Camille (Joe) Cortez; 9 great nephews and nieces and many cousins. Mass will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Mary Star of the Sea Church at 10:30am, followed by graveside services at Green Hills Memorial Park. He will be greatly missed. We are truly sorry to hear about Eugene leaving us!! We are sure he is now in a much better world, with our Good Lord and all the saints!!

This was so very sad to hear because I remember Eugene when I lived in San Pedro where I rented a house from his dad Pete Lauro.
