In 1953 she was reacquainted with her childhood family friend, Cesar (Bud) O. Santos. Love bloomed quickly and they were wed at Holy Trinity Church on August 14, 1954. They spent more than 63 years together in marriage and raised six children in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. She drove hundreds of miles carpooling and always encouraged her children to be creative, studious and dedicated students. She was the ultimate homemaker, crafter, an award-winning quilter and member of South Bay Quilting Club. Each baby that joined the family and each grandchild that went off to college received an original quilt that she lovingly handmade. She always made extra to share and made sure we went home with leftovers. She was a collector of many things. She loved decorating, especially at the holidays.
