R. Stephen Duke
As a beautiful, loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and FRIEND, Stephen triumphed! His genuine good nature and steady way of handling life and situations gained him respect with all who know him. After a 14 month fight with lung cancer, and making his last goal of living long enough for the birth and to hold his new granddaughter, Quinn, Stephen said his farewell to his family and passed into God's loving arms. As a respected attorney, he made his living. As a steadfast gardener, he made his peace. As a man of integrity....he made his mark. Stephen and his wife, Barbara Ramsey-Duke, joyfully raised their grandson, Kyler Ramsey, for the past 11 years. They also enjoyed a close loving bond with their grandsons, Wade and Liam Burleson. Their children, Stephanie Duke, Sarah Ramsey-Duke and Burton Ramsey, brought others to join their family and thus Renee Jimenez, Gary Burleson, Tara Grant and Tiffany Ramsey. His family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support given by so many precious others who have been important to Stephen and his family.
