Arthur "Art" Hendren Obituary
Arthur (Art) Hendren age 67, passed away July 8, 2018, in Amarillo, Texas.
Art was born in Tucumcari NM on December 7, 1950, to Eloy and Helen Hendren. Art grew up in Tucumcari and attended Tucumcari Public Schools. He joined the Army in 1970 and was stationed in Germany.
After the Army, Art worked in Road Construction all over the State of New Mexico. He helped his dad on the family ranch whenever he was home. The last 14 years, he worked as a landscaper or as Art would say "a yard Man". Art was a very humble man and was always thinking of what he could do for others.
Art accepted Jesus Christ on June 19, 2018, and his last days were peaceful knowing his Savior was with him each and every day.
Art is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sandra Hendren-Cordova and Kendra Hendren; and two brothers, Luther Hendren and Mark Hendren. Art is survived by his long time companion, A. J. Williams; his brothers, Cyrus Hendren Chula Vista Ca. ,Andrew Hendren & Mary Loving NM., Herman Hendren & Theresa Albuquerque NM., James Hendren Belen NM., Dean Hendren Albuquerque NM; his sisters, Evelyn Cordova & Theodore Carlsbad NM., Margaret Andrus & BJ and Rose Brito & Jimmy all of Tucumcari NM along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited on Friday afternoon July 20, at 2:00 PM in the St. Anne's Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life Mass will be Saturday July 21, 2018, at 10:00 AM in the St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Paul as Celebrant. Following his wishes, cremation has already taken place. Interment of the cremains will be at the Hendren Family Ranch Cemetery.
