Bea Peacock Bea Alma Peacock, 88, of Ima, died Monday, June 6, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born on Nov. 23, 1916, in Hassell, to John Morgan and the former Alice Rossen. She was raised and attended school at Ima and House. She graduated from House High School. She married Ruben L. Peacock on Jan. 5, 1938, in Tucumcari. They made their home on the Crow's Ranch in the Ima Valley from 1938 to 1940. They purchased land at Ima in 1940. In 1976 they moved to House where they continued to farm and ranch. She attended the Ima Community Church and was a member of Ima Community Quilters. Family members said she enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Dale Peacock; and two brothers, James and Thomas Morgan. Survivors include a daughter, Goldie Baum (and husband, Bill) of Tucumcari; two sons, Alvie Peacock (Laura) of House and Benny Peacock of Clovis; a daughter-in-law, Patty Peacock of Broken Bow, Neb.; two sisters-in-law, Iris Morgan and Pauline Mitchell, both of Clovis; five grandchildren, Misti McAlevy of Broken Bow, Neb., David Baum of Amarillo, John and Jeff Peacock, both of House, and Angela Olivan of Harrison, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Tiara McAlevy of Broken Bow, Neb., and Ezra Kade Olivan of Harrison, Ark.; several nieces and nephews, including Clarence, Wesleyand Calvin Morgan, Frankie Brown, Mary Vandiver, John Mitchell, Judy Campbell and Pearl Robinson. Services were held at Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Sumner. Burial was at Fort Sumner Cemetery. The Rev. Sherman Martin officiated the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the House Rescue, c/o Box 682, House, N.M. 88121. Arrangements were by Chavez Funeral Home of Fort Sumner. Kenneth Scott Kenneth R. Scott, 64, of Tucumcari, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari. He was born on Oct. 15, 1940, in Hammond, Ind. Survivors include his wife, Martha A. Scott; a son, Kelly Newsom; and four daugters, Renee John (and husband, Steven), Kathy Moulher (Tom), Jennifer Sue Scott, and Chauvonne Tolley (Sam). No services will be held.
