Billie Martin Garrison Services: Have been held. Billie Martin Garrison, 64, died Sunday, March 12, 2006. Mr. Garrison was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Gran Quivera to Joseph Woodrow and Mary C. Garrison. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Cornstock for four years, then returned to settle in Albuquerque. Mr. Garrison held various jobs, including delivering water for Culligan, driving a city bus and working in construction. He spent most of his working days repairing appliances for Sears. He later moved to Canon City, Colo., and to Tucumcari. Other residences included Mosquero and Logan. Mr. Garrison loved to hunt and fish as well as capture the wildlife in oil paintings. His artistic talents were also expressed in jewelry making, singing and playing the guitar. Family members said gardening and teasing others were among his favorite talents. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his father, his brother Ran, his son Boe and Boe's wife, Amanda.  He is survived by his mother, Mary C. Garrison of Mosquero; three brothers, Larry (wife Wanda) Garrison of Raton, Ken Garrison of Mosquero and Ward (Mary Helen) Garrison of Solano; three sons, Bart (Arlene) Garrison of Ruidoso, Ben (Mary) Garrison of Zeeland, Mich., and Bradley (Sommer) of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Shareen (John) King of Portales and Sherrie (Michael) Archuleta of Roswell; his former wife, Sharon Potter of Portales; 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Carroll Connell officiated services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autumn Blessings Assisted Living in Logan. Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
