Carlos Sandoval Services: 11 a.m. CST (10 a.m. MST) today at the Nara Visa Community Center. Carlos "Charlie" Sandoval, 82, died on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, in Tucumcari. He was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Nara Visa, where he lived his entire life. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Forest in France. He was also a member of the American Legion Post of Logan. His family said he loved kids and enjoyed activities which involved children in the Nara Visa Community. He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe "Lucy" Sandoval of Tucumcari; two sons, Bobby Sandoval (and wife, Melanie) of Albuquerque, and Carlos Sandoval (Marie) of Plainview, Texas; two daughters, Florence Sandoval of Hereford, Texas, and Yvonne Massey of Tucumcari; two sisters, Bea George of Amarillo and Rena Woodward of Glendale, Ariz., along with numerous grandchildren and many friends. Burial will follow the funeral mass in the Nara Visa Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Marshall Reed, Robert Burns, Charles Whitcraft, Tommy Burks, Rico Ysco and Carolyn (Reed) Bingham. Honorary pall bearers will be Leon Doyle, Carol Lee George, Dwayne Whitcraft and John McClone. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
