Dorothy Lippincott Mustard passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2008.
Dorothy was born in Bala Cynwyd, PA, on October 24, 1918. She attended high school at Westtown Friends School and graduated in 1936. She went on to receive her undergraduate degree in Education at the Teachers College in Washington, D.C., and received training in Library Science from Columbia University. Dorothy worked as a Librarian in Philadelphia, PA, for twelve years.
In 1938, Dorothy married Elmer Mustard in Philadelphia and they celebrated 47 years together.
Dorothy moved to Tucumcari, NM, in 1950 and attended the First Presbyterian Church for 58 years. Dorothy was involved in the National Association of Federal Retired Employees (NARFE) where she served as Treasurer, was a volunteer for the Camp Fire Girls, and participated in the Meals on Wheels program.
Surviving Dorothy are her two children, Taya Davis of Rio Rancho, NM, and Elise Adams of Las Vegas, NV; her six grandchildren, Santosha Acker of Albuquerque, NM, Erik Acker of Rio Rancho; Arron, Andrew, Austin, and Breanne Adams of Las Vegas, NV; and one great grandchild, Travis Acker of Rio Rancho.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Mustard, February 13, 1970 and husband, Elmer Mustard, February 17, 1985.
Services wll be help at 10:00AM on Monday, December 22nd at the First Presbyterian Church and a graveside service will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park.
