Ethel Flint Ethel Pauline "Polly" Flint, 68, died Nov. 29, 2003 at her home in San Jon. She was born Feb. 10, 1935 at Lordsburg. Mrs. Flint was a member of the Rebekah Lodge at San Jon, member of the DOES Drove with the Tucumcari Elks Lodge, and member of the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Post 77 of Logan. For many years she was with Family Services which assisted military families where there were casualities and assisted the military families that were moving to the different military bases while her husband Richard Flint served in the military. Family members said she was an avid supporter of San Jon Schools and helped at the San Jon senior center. Survivors include her husband Richard; son Curtis of Port Orchard, Wash.; two daughters, Belinda and Betty Jo both of San Jon; sister Kathy of Abeline, Texas and one brother Dewayne Smith of Tonasket, Wash. Services were this morning at the San Jon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Amy Jordan and Rev. Gerald White officiated. Burial followed at the family plot of Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
