Obituary Condolences

Fred Kenneth Fields, 72, died November 10, 2009, of complications of ALS-Lou Gehrig's disease. He was born in Clovis, NM, the only child of Fred and Virginia Fields, formerly of Tucumcari. He graduated from NMSU. He worked for the U.S. Geological Survey, then entered the real estate profession as an agent and then owner-broker of Fred Fields Real Estate.
Fred resided in Hickory Creek, TX, at the time of his death, with his wife of 49 years, Mary Jean Fields. He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bruce Western, and three grandchildren, and son, Kenneth Fields, all of whom live in the nearby area.
 Fred will be remembered for his humility, hard work, positive attitude, generosity to others, love of animals, and his sense of humor. A family gathering was held on November 12, 2009, to celebrate his life.
A mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, TX, in the near future and his ashes will be placed to rest locally.
