Gene Richardson Gene Richardson, 73, of Logan, died Aug. 31, 2003, at his home in Logan. He was born June 25, 1930 in Okmulge, Okla. Mr. Richardson married Clara Jo Winfrey on Aug. 28, 1949. He was a retired minister of the United Methodist Church and served forty four years in the ordained ministry. He served church in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, beginning in San Jon in 1954. He was an associate pastor of the First Methodist Church in Clovis. Wayne Okla., Sulpher, Okla., Minco Okla., Tulsa Okla., St. John Methodist at Ketchum, Okla., Marfa, Texas, Tucumcari, Odessa, Texas, Highland Methodist Church at Portales, Las Alamos and Grady. Mr. Richardson had a bachelor of music from Oklahoma City University in Dallas, Texas. He was a past master of the Tucumcari Masonic Lodge, a member of the Tucumcari Kiwanis Club, board secretary for the Tucumcari Helping Hands Hospice, a member of the Logan Health Clinic, past president of Logan Senior Citizens, chairman of the board of Trustees of Logan United Methodist Church and choir directorl. Mr. Richardson was past president of Tucum Sams Good Sam Club and State Chaplain of Good Sam of New Mexico, and of the Santa Fe Shrine Lodge of Perfection. Family members said he has a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed sharing it at church, community and family gatherings. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Clara Richardson of Abeline, Texas; granddaughter, Caitlin; Lee Ann Davis and husband Gerry of Santa Fe; Lynn Hanawalt and husband Ellis of Tucumcari; grandson, Travis and graundaughter Tessa of Tucumcari; Elizabeth Groves and husband Glen of Aptos, Calif. brother, Harry Richardson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and sister Mary Humpharies of Wichita Falls, Texas. Services were Tuesday afternnon at the Logan United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jeanie Williams, Rev. Joe Wood and Rev. Gerry Lightwine officiated. Burial followed at the family plot of the Logan Cemetery. Pallbearers were Travis Ellis, Elmer Jones, Larry Roberts, Jerry Klaverweiden, Ray McCoy and George Irving. Honorary pallbearers are all fellow members of his organizations and all close friens and neighbors. Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Homeo of Tucumcari. Donations may be sent to the Tucumcari Helping Hands Hospice at 615 South Second Street, Tucumcari, NM 88401, or to the United Methodist Church of Logan, Logan N.M. 88426. Alexianna and Alejandro Soria Alexianna and Alejandro Soria, twin infants, died Aug. 28, 2003 at Trigg Memorial Hospital. They were born Aug. 28, 2003 to Miguel Soria and Vanessa Ortega. The twins were preceded in death by their aunt Valerie Ortega and one cousin, Rondal Welch. Survivors include their parents, brother, Miguel Soria Jr. of Tucumcari; grandparents Robert and DeClora Ortega of Tucumcari, Simon and Isabell Romero of Tucumcari, one uncle, Marshall Ortega, one aunt, Margirita Romero of Tucumcari and great-grandfather, Joe J. Ortega of Clovis. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
