Gladys Biffle Services: Funeral services have taken place. Gladys Biffle, 96, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, in Castle Rock, Colo. She was born on July 29, 1909, in Dayton, Ore., to George and Grace Ethel (Edwards) Stonebrink. She moved to Union County, N.M., with her family in 1920 with three wagons, a Model T and 40 head of horses. She married Enoch Thomas Biffle on Aug. 19, 1933, in Union County, where they ranched for more than 30 years. After her husband died, she traveled a few years before returning to Clayton, where she started her second career in retail. Family members said she loved to hunt arrowheads and refinish furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband; both of her parents; and five brothers, Clarence, Elwood, Scott, Clyde and Roy Stonebrink. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia May (and husband, Bill) of Fruita, Colo., Betty Levesque of Castle Rock, Colo., and Grace Foster (David) of Raton; one son, Nathan G. Biffle (Zerelda) of Logan; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Viola Miller of Logan, Utah, Nina Borroz (Rusty) of Vancouver, Wash., Gene Hodges of Newburg, Ore., and Fran Tessman (Dean) of Newburg, Ore.; and two brothers, Earl Stonebrink (Nancy) of Newburg, Ore., and Berle Stonebrink (Peg) of Washougol, Wash.
