Jack B. Routh Jack B. Routh, 84, died at his residence in Tucumcari early Friday, Nov. 5, 2004. Jack Routh was born July 13, 1920 in Tucumcari. He was a veteran of World war II serving in the Army Air Corps and eventually attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. He farmed in the Tucumcari area for many years. He also owned and operated a private air charter service in Tucumcari for many years. He was a flight instructor and held a commercial pilots license for many years. He and his wife Thelma owner and operated the Van Ark Nursing Home for many years, and he also operated a nursing home in Ft. Sumner. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000. He is survived by his daughter Sharon Cardwell (Gary) of Houston, and many nephews and nieces. Services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jim Witcher of the First Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow.
