Jeannie (Anderson) Ward Obituary
Jeannie (Anderson) Ward passed Saturday, April 16, 2016, in Albuquerque, NM. Jeannie was born on July 15, 1946, in Tucumcari, and was a lifelong resident here.
In the early 1970's, Jeannie worked for the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles, but she most cherished the Pilot Car service she established with long-time business partner Johnny Bruhn, and was active in that business until just recently. Through her business travels around the state and region, she enjoyed a host of friendships, too numerous to list here, but we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for touching her life as you have.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Cecelia Anderson. Clarence retired as an engineer from the railroad in Tucumcari in the early 1970's, and was best known to his friends and workmates as "Swede" Anderson. Jeannie will be placed to rest with him in Tucumcari.
She is survived by her brother, James B. Anderson of Tucumcari; her son and daughter-in-law, William Ward and Carol Ward of Clovis, NM; three grandsons, Elliot Ward of Clovis, PFC Addison Ward of Fort Polk Louisiana, and Everett Ward of Clovis. She is also survived by her two dearest friends, family in their own right, Johnny and Sherry Bruhn, and a most special thanks to them for blessing her life over the years as they have.
There will be a graveside service in Tucumcari on Monday April 25, 2016, at 10:00 am .
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to Jeannie's favorite charity, the Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
