Linnea Jeanette Gardner Obituary
Linnea Jeanette Gardner passed away on April 10, 2012. Linnea was born on July 29, 1933, to Adolph and Gerda Carlson in Shambaugh, MI. She grew up and went to school in Michigan where she met her husband, Eugene Gardner. They were married on November 20, 1954. To this union a daughter, Debra, was born. Linnea spent her life helping others wherever they lived. She touched so many lives throughout the years and made many friends. She never said no to a friend or stranger in need. Linnea loved her flowers and working in the yard. One of her joys was listening to the birds singing and she always had water out for them. She moved all over the country with Eugene and made a wonderful home at each placed they lived. Eugene and Linnea moved to Tucumcari, NM, 18 years ago where Eugene passed away in 1997. They were married for 43 wonderful years.
Linnea continued living in Tucumcari, brightening the lives of all around her. She became involved with the local hospice and enjoyed her volunteer work there immensely. If a friend needed help painting, she was the first one there with a brush in hand! She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Linnea was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband; both parents, and one brother, Robert Carlson.
Linnea is survived by her daughter, Debra Wilson (Stanley) of Montana; a brother, Harold Carlson (Laura) of Arizona; 3 granddaughters, Linnea Hammond (William) of New Mexico, Andrea Brown (Kelly) of Montana, and Jessica Wilson of North Dakota; and one grandson, Scotty Wilson of Florida. Linnea is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial will be held at a good friend's house on April 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
