Margaret Larsen Margaret Josephine Foyil Larsen died at her home in Harlingen, Texas, on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, following an extended illness. Jo Larsen was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Tucumcari. Her parents were William and Josephine Foyil of Tucumcari. She graduated from Tucumcari High School and attended Baylor School of Nursing in Dallas, after which she joined the United States Navy and served during World War II. Following that she attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville and received her bachelor of science degree in nursing. She married James C. Larsen while attending Vanderbilt. They lived in Connecticut, Texas, Colorado and New Mexico. She was a public health nurse in Houston and southwestern Colorado and she and her husband operated several ranches in Colorado. Later they purchased an RV Park in Port Isabel, Texas. After retiring, she and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world. She is survived by her husband of Harlingen: her son Bruce Larsen (Sarai) of Harlingen. Services were Friday afternoon at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
