Mary Alice Mata Mary Alice Mata, 78, died at her home in Mosquero on Feb. 16 2005. Mata was born on May 20, 1926 in Cabeza. For many years she was a care giver, taking care of others in their time of need. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mosquero. She was preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Carolina Mata; two daughters, Linda Mata and Cathy Mata; one son Benny Mata; and one grand daughter Mary Alice Delgadillo. Survivors include six daughters, Carri Archuleta (and husband Nick) of Mosquero, Delia Rawden of Cedar Hill, Texas, Evelyn Baca of Albuquerque, Theresa Martinez and friend George Archuleta of Mosquero, Louise Arguello (Tommy) of Clovis, and Rita Palos (Jose) of Mosquero; four sons Bert Mata (Shirley) of Albuquerque, Tommy Mata, Steve Mata and friend Diane, and Vincent Mata, all of Mosquero; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosary was Friday night in Mosquero. The Mass of Resurrection was at The St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mosquero at 10 a.m. Rev. David Phillipson and Rev. Larry Brito were celebrants. Pall bearers were Bert Mata, Vicente Mata, Tommy Mata, Steve Mata, Ermenio Mata and Leo Mata. Honorary pall bearers were Thomas Trujilo, Joe Culbertson, Robert Cordova, Arnold Miera, Mick Archuleta, Tommy Araguello, Joge Palos George Trujilo and all grand and great grandchildren. Burial followed the mass in the family plot of the Mosquero Cemetery in Mosquero.
