Mary E. Clark Obituary
Mary Clark, age 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend was called home to be with the Lord, April 21, 2017.
Mary was preceded in death by her children, William Curtis, Terry Martinez, Phil Clark and John Toney.
She is survived by husband Don Clark of 36 years; children, Elaine and husband Frank Moya, Joe E. Toney, Rachel Toney and Pam Clark; sisters, Marie Thomas and Viola Mann; grandchildren, Georgiana and husband Brian Orona, Chris Moya, Tammy and husband Rick Rodgers, Joe and wife Emily Toney, Amanda Toney and husband Trey Mintzer, Brian and wife Megan Toney, Tonya Toney-Chairez and husband Josh Chairez, Cassie and husband Chris Sprague, Michael and wife Monica Martinez, Curtis Welch, Regina Grajeda and twenty-six great grandchildren.
Mary loved spending time with her husband and family. She had a great love of history and published the well-known book "A History of New Mexico: A Mark of Time" as well as numerous poems and spiritual songs. Her long career included, Society editor and correspondent of the Tucumcari News, anchorwoman at KTNM Radio, Good Morning Tucumcari and news correspondent at Amarillo Globe and Television. Mary was also the recipient of the NM National Guard certificate and was awarded the Colonel Aide-de-Camp award bestowed by late governor Bruce King and long-time friend, lieutenant governor, Roberto Mondragon.
Services will be held May 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm: First Baptist Church, 321 E. Center St, Tucumcari, NM 88401.
