Former long time Tucumcari, NM, resident, Pearl Stinson-Baker, age 100, passed away in the Cypres Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston, TX, on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
Pearl was born April 7, 1909, in Tucumcari, NM. She was a 1926 graduate of Tucumcari High School. For many years she had worked at Maulden Lumber Company in Tucumcari. She was a member of the La Esperanza Club in Tucumcari and was very active in the Tucumcari Community.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Arthur (Skeet) Stinson in 1968. She was also preceded in death by her son, Fred Stinson and later her daughter-in-law, Betty Carr Stinson.  Also preceding her are two sisters, Ann Shoenberg and Pauline Brady and her brother, Johnny Surguy.
Surviving Pearl is her daughter, Mary Kay Driver and husband, Joe of Houston, TX. She also is survived by 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Services celebrating her life will be conducted in the St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Tucumcari on Wednesday, May 3rd beginning at 2:00 PM with Father Gay Welborn, Pastor of St. Michael's Episcopal Church Officiating.  Pall Bearers will be Jack Brady, Joe Dryer, Joe Dryer, Jr., Randy Stinson, Wesley Stinson and Chuck West.
Interment will be in the Tucumcari Cemetery next to her husband, Charles "Skeet" Stinson.
