Mr. Ray Warren Brown Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Ray Warren Brown, 53, of Osage County, OK, announce his death on Tuesday, July 7, 2009.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
Ray was born February 25, 2956, in Richmond, VA, the oldest some of James J. Brown and Eva Susan Fink.
Ray was a mechanic by trade and was employed with Ben's Auto in Bartlesville. He served in the United States Marine Corps until his early retirement in 1985. He was a master builder, and loved to play and sing music. Ray's love for music will live on in the hearts of all that loved and knew him. He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.
"We ain't just whistlin Dixie here, but is sure does bring a smile, to hear those feet a tappin' and hear for a country mile. If you really listen to the songs, you'll find a story told...there's something very special, with music in your soul."
Survivors include his mother, Susan Harding of House, NM; two sons, Shane Brown of Tulsa, OK, and Jason Brown of Palatka, FL; two step-children, Casey Dunlap and Dereck Clemens of Bartlesville; three brothers, Robin Brown of Carriere, MS, James Harding of Tulsa, OK, and Alex Harding of Greenville, NC; three sisters, Jessie Clarkson of Dewey, OK, Nanette Covey of Towanda, PA, and Belinda Woolridge of House, NM; four grandchildren and twenty nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and an infant brother, Kenneth Brown.
