1940 - 2010 Obituary Condolences
Wanda Sue Lammey Millice of Kansas City passed away on May 7, 2010, from declining health due to cancer of an unknown source.
Sue was born February 4, 1940, in Channing, TX, to Juanita and Eugene Lammey. Her family moved to Tucumcari, NM, where she grew up and graduated high school. Sue received a degree in Medical Technology from the College of Emporia, Emporia, KS, and later received a Master's degree in Micro-Biology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. A career in the Medical Technology field led Sue to Menorah Medical Center in 1961 where she held several positions of increased responsibility. In 1995, she became associated with Health Midwest Systems IT where she worked until recently.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeanne Gonzales, and niece, Sonya Gonzales of Chicago, IL.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, George (Hawk) Millice, Kansas City, MO.
A celebration of Sue's life is scheduled for 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 12 at John Knox Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11430 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO. Physical remains will be entrusted to the care of KU Medical Center.
Her spirit is with the love of her friends, her beloved husband and her faithful companion, Mack, a miniature schnauzer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the KC Hospice, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145 or Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64137. The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to the dedicated ad caring staff of the KC Hospice.
