Wayne Oliver Hermanson Obituary
Wayne Oliver Hermanson, passed away on July 29 2018, at his home in Conchas Dam, New Mexico. Wayne was born October 9, 1950 in Glasgow, Montana. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in Viet Nam from 1969 to 1972 as a rescue air crewman. Wayne operated a shoe leather shop and a gas station in Montana in the mid 70s. He was a deputy branding inspector in Montana and a district manager for 4K Cable in Blue Springs, Missouri. During this time he met his wife Judy, his loving companion of 30 years. Wayne officially retired from Centurylink Albuquerque/Tucumcari. He was a past American Legion Riders State Vice President for the State of New Mexico, an active Vice President of American Legion Riders Chapter 9, Conchas Dam until his passing. Wayne was a life member of the VFW, a Life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a member of the B. P. O. Elks Lodge 1172 of Tucumcari, NM.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Wyatt Hermanson & wife Trina of Sherwood Oregon; stepdaughers, Lisa Stembridge & husband Charles of Daytona, Florida, Sandra Ahlbom of Albuquerque NM, Kristina Ahlbom of Conchas Dam, New Mexico; sisters, Dixie Klostrich & husband Mike of Montana, Kathy McLaughlin & husband John and Sherry Odle of West Yellowstone, Montana, Cindy Saul & husband Kal of Bozeman, Montana; brothers, Robbie Hermanson & wife Debbie, Rocky Hermanson & wife Ann all of West Yellowstone, Montana; grandchildren, Brody, Jorja, Ashley, Michael, Nelson and great granddaughters, Jozlyn and Analiya.
Services celebrating his life will be conducted in the Dunn Memorial Chapel beginning at 11:00 AM Friday, August 3, 2018, in Tucumcari New Mexico with Pastor Rick Haymaker officiating. Pall bearers will be Robbie Hermanson, Rocky Hermanson, Mike Klostrich, Steve Chacon, Donnie Chacon and Bear Whitener. Honorary bearers will be John McLaughlin, Gerald "Lobo" Sena, Glen Everson, Jim McElroy, Mike Manely, Randy Jenkins and Jamie New. American Legion Post 19 at Conchas Dam NM will host a celebration of Wayne's life following services with the first Round being on Wayne.
The family suggests for those who wish, contributions should be made in Wayne's memory to Arch Fitzsimmons American Legion Post 19, Conchas, Dam New Mexico. The family would like to thank Ambercare Hospice of Las Vegas NM for their kindness and The Veterans Administration for their support.
