William Rutter Services: Have been held. William (Bill) Rutter, 60, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at his home in Logan. He was born Sept. 16, 1945, in Arkansas City, Kan., and had been a longtime resident of Logan. He had served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion Post in Logan who loved fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by is his wife, Mona, of Logan; his son Wade Rutter (and wife, April) of Portales; his daughters, Kerri Bollinger (Justin), of Tucumcari and Amanda Spitz (Kyle) of Lamar, Colo.; five grandchildren, Morgan, Megan, Sy, Garrett and Coy; his brother Howard Rutter of Grants and his sister Shirley Crisp (Don) of Kalispell, Minn. He is preceded in death by his parents N.J. (Bruce) and Florence Rutter. Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of Logan with the Rev. Steve Kullback, minister of the Logan First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were A. G. Cook, Gordon Cochrum, Ray Gorman, James Rinestine, Dudley Hartsfield and Joe Garnett. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle Spitz, Justin Bollinger, the Logan Bass Club along with his many friends and customers. Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
