David was born August 19, 1921, in Buffalo, New York, where he also spent his childhood. He left us for a better place on April 21, 2013, at age 91. Shortly after graduating from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Management Engineering, he entered the Army
, serving in the South Pacific Theater during WWII
. After the war he went worked with various manufacturing companies and held a number of executive management positions including President and Vice President of large corporations.
David is predeceased by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and his daughter, Pattilyn Drewery. He is survived by his loving wife, Eloise; his daughter, Diane Drewery (Don Wilks); stepchildren, Suzanne (William) Simmons and Michael (Janet) McGhee; two step grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
David will be interred at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego. There was a private memorial service at Huntington Terrace in Huntington Beach, CA, on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
Husband, father, stepfather, and our hero, we will miss his sharp wit, love and caring. We are comforted knowing that he is now with Our Lord and Savior.
