1992 – 2012 - Obituary Condolences
Frederick Riley "Fredrick" Gleason Obituary
Fredrick Gleason, age 19, passed away May 21, 2012. A service to honor him will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Milledgeville with Rev. Debbie Osterhoudt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
Mr. Gleason was a proud native of Ellensburg, Washington and had moved to Milledgeville in 2003 at the age of 10. He was a graduate of Baldwin County High School and, as a chemistry major, was in his first year at Georgia College. Fredrick appreciated nature and every living creature; delighted in pondering the universe and the reasons for each thing in it; and had dedicated his life to inventing organic responses to heal the biosphere. He touched many lives with his generous heart and resolve to make the world a better place for others. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Milledgeville.
Family ties were uniquely important to Fredrick. He is survived by his beloved parents, Julja Burchard of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and Drs. Michael Gleason and Karynne Kleine of Milledgeville; sister, Alicia Anna Gleason of Bellingham, Washington; grandparents, Orval and Darlene Gleason of Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Hermann Burchard of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Elisabeth de Boer of Madison, Wisconsin, and William Kleine of Rancho Bernardo, California; cousin, Kayla Bowen of California; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Milledgeville Community Garden or any work to better understand autism.
