Marilyn H. Checketts

1941 - 2010

Marilyn, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, was born on August 29, 1941. She died on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at age 68. Her family and friends are utterly devastated by her sudden and untimely passing. Marilyn was an English rose with limitless enthusiasm for people, places, and life in all its forms. Her beloved grandchildren, Kendra and Harrison, were the light of her life. To have known Marilyn is to have loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; sons, Paul and Neil and their wives; her grandchildren; brother, David; and her sisters, Betty, Ann, Jane and Susan.
A memorial service to commemorate and celebrate her extraordinary life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 5th, at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, 334 14th Street, in Del Mar. A reception followed immediately after at The Powerhouse, 1658 Coast Blvd. in Del Mar.
